Harga RAM laptop DDR tentu lebih mahal dibandingkan versi lama karena memiliki kecepatan memindahkan informasi dua kali lebih cepat serta hemat energy (mampu berjalan hanya dengan power 2.5 volts).
Harga RAM laptop semakin tinggi sejak kemunculan DDR 3 yang pertama kali dikenalkan pada sekitar tahun 2007 dengan kecepatan transfer data rata-rata hingga 2.133MTps. Versi ini semakin hemat energy karena mampu bekerja dengan energy hanya 1.5 volts.
Perkembangan teknologi semakin memunculkan inovasi-inovasi terbaru yang digadang mampu membantu memudahkan segala kegiatan Anda. Industri teknologi informasi juga semakin menunjukkan taji dengan mengeluakan RAM SO DIMM (Small Outline Dual In-Line Memory Module).
