Dell XPS M2010 MXP061 is made up entirely of notebook parts. The XPS features the fastest Intel Core Duo processor available for mobile PCs, along with 2 gigabytes of RAM and RAID-enabled hard drives (200GB, 7,200-rpm) to handle challenging tasks. Even so, its SYSmark 2004 SE scores were a little low compared with those of high-end laptops such as the Dell XPS M1710 or Alienware Aurora m7700 on the Office Productivity tests. The M2010s Internet Content Creation scores more than made up for that, though, and its scores on both tests are well above the level needed to run your day-to-day office and Internet apps successfully.

Measuring 16.75 inches deep, 19.25 inches wide, and 3 inches thick, the XPS M2010 is definitely larger than any other late-model, desktop-replacement laptop weve seen, including the 19-inch Eurocom M590K Emperor. Its quite big even next to the desktop competition: small form-factor PCs from niche gaming vendors such as Shuttle and Falcon Northwest, and even business systems such as the Lenovo ThinkCentre M series, are all considerably more compact, though far less easy to quickly pick up and move. That said, between the display, the CPU, and the keyboard, the Dell XPS M2010 weighs 18.3 pounds; with its bricklike AC adapter, it reaches 20.8 pounds. Though its more portable than almost any desktop PC, its simply too heavy to regularly carry any further than from room to room or out to the car.
