Corby Society Expansion

CorbySociety is a blog which features Samsung GT-S3850 ( Corby 2 ) Mobile downloads including Themes, Widgets, Applications and More. As technology dominates our lives now a days, many mobile phones and gadgets are now developed and produced. To keep our blog maintain its level and popularity in the future generation, we have decided to expand it. Expanding its content doesnt mean that we
have to eliminate and stop posting Corby 2 feature downloads and add another one. It will still remain as our top-most priority, but we need to add another mobile downloads and content. Here are the things that we are going to add.

1.) New Mobile Features and Downloads

We will add more mobile phone features and downloads in the future. To ensure that we can give you the right mobile downloads, please contact us and tell us what mobile phone your friends and family are using ( including you ). This is somehow a sort of survey and can surely help us in the future. However, as we have said, Corby 2 will still remain as our top-most priority.

2.) Writing Articles

We will be writing more articles not just all about mobile phones but also various topics on the internet and daily life. We will ensure you to provide articles which can somehow be helpful to everyone of us. We will also write daily tips ( Random Topics ).

We hope that you will read the articles that we wrote and we are going to write. We take time to write these articles and we hope that you should also take time to read and reflect. If you still have enough time, please leave a comment. These comments can inspire us to write more.

3.) More Corby 2 Downloads

Our main recipe, Corby 2. Expect more and more feature downloads in the future. We will greatly do our best to satisfy our solid followers. But if you have something to share, why not share it with us. Send your own feature here and we will proudly post it with your name in credits.

4.) We need Authors

  Our blag stats and reputation rises everyday. And so, we need to provide more posts to maintain its standing. Im afraid we could not do that. Due to limited resources, we cannot give our whole time to our blog and just to let you know, we are only renting a computer. If you have what it takes, then why not join with us. Please take note that this is voluntary. We are only earning an average of $5 from Adfly every month and so we can only pay you with a big "Thanks".

Corby 2 Android Appearance Combo

As a solid corby user, we are always finding the best possible features and designs that we could possibly apply in our phones. As a series of research and test, I found this feature combination which makes your phone ( Corby 2 ) have a similar looks and appearance to Android Phones. Android combo features includes Android boot, Android Homescreen and Android Theme which will surely satisfy you. The features are gathered across the web and believed to be in public domain. However, Corbysociety has no intention to copy or own these
features.

1.) Android Boot ( Firmware )

This firmware is applicable in Samsung GTS3850 ( Corby 2 ), When you turn your phone ( Corby 2 ) on or off, you will see an android boot screen instead of the default Samsung boot screen. We can assure you that this firmware is still working fine.

How to Install this Firmware ?

1.Download the Firmware here : http://adf.ly/QAzKt

2.Download Multiloader v5.61 here : http://adf.ly/iG8il
( If link doesnt work, try searching another from Google )

3. Open Multiloader.Click CSC and then inject the firmware you have downloaded.

4. Now turn your corby off and then set it to download mode.
How to set to download mode?
Press and Hold VolumeDown+LockScreen+CallButton.

5. Connect your Phone on your computer using Samsung USB Cord. If your computer wont detect your device then you should download Samsung USB Driver: Download here: http://adf.ly/QhzLw

6. Going back to the multiloader, Click "PORT SEARCH" and then "Download".

7. Wait until installation is done.

2.) Android Homescreen ( Firmware )

This is the most exciting and awaited part. The feature is 80% similar to Android phone homescreen. Features includes: Changing of Wallpaper has been easier, Unlock screen by Sliding, Cleaner home interface, Shortcut buttons, Date and Time.

How to Install this Firmware ?

1.Download the Firmware here : http://adf.ly/iH5Mc

2.Download Multiloader v5.61 here : http://adf.ly/iG8il

3. Open Multiloader.Click Rsrc1 and then inject the firmware you have downloaded.

4. Now turn your corby off and then set it to download mode.

3.) Android Theme ( .SMT )

There are lots of Android themes you can search and download in this blog. Just find the best one which satisfies you. Please take note that you must install your theme first before installing firmwares. Once you have installed the firmware, you cannot change your theme anymore unless you change back to default / original corby 2 firmware.

CORBY 2 USB not DETECTED ! FIXED !

Have you ever encountered USB problems in Corby 2? or let us just say you want to install/update a firmware, and when you try to plug it on your computer, it wont detect your device. This is probably caused by some reasons ( either hardware or software problem ). But in this tutorial, let us do some common troubleshooting method which may be helpful to you.

1. Samsung USB Driver

Drivers are very important. Your device wont run if theres no driver installed ( Just like a car without driver, it wont run ).
This is one of the most common causes why your
computer wont detect your device ( Corby 2 ). The first thing you should do is to check if you have installed Samsung USB Driver.

For windows XP Users : When you do this step, plug-in your device ( Coby 2 ) in your computer first.

* Go to "Control Panel"
* Click "Performance and Maintenance" and then click "System"
* Now a new tab will appear. Click "Hardware" then "Device Manager".
* Under "Modems", you should see "Samsung Mobile USB Modem" if you have installed one. ( See similar image in Windows 7 Mode )

* If you dont have one, you should download and install Samsung USB Driver http://adf.ly/QhzLw

For Windows 7 Users:

* Click "Start" on the lower left corner of your screen.
* Now search for "Device Manager"
* Under "Modems", you should see "Samsung Mobile USB Modem" if you have installed one.

After a successful installation, your device should be successfully detected.

2. Broken USB Cable

If you have done the steps in step 1 correctly and still your device is not detected, then it may be cause by broken USB Cable.

These steps might be helpful in knowing if you have a broken cable or not.

* Start your phone ( Corby 2 )
* Go to "Settings" and then "Connections"
* Go to USB and set it to "USB Mode" before connecting on your computer.
* You should be prompted to go for USB mode and click "Yes" on your phone ( Corby 2 ).
* If you can access your files in your computer ( Files stored in Memory Card like Photos and etc. ), then your USB Cable is not broken.

3. Broken/Damaged USB Port

If you have completely tried the steps above and still your device is undetectable, then you might be experiencing a broken or damaged USB Port.

Try to plug your USB Cable in different USB Port. If you are using an external USB Port, then try to remove it. The better way is to check if you are having a malfunctioned USB port.

* Go to "Control Panel"
* Click "Performance and Maintenance" and then click "System"
* Now a new tab will appear. Click "Hardware" then "Device Manager".
* Under USB controllers ( Universal Serial Bus controllers ), try to check if you can see a yellow mark which indicates malfunctioned.
